Beloved Globetrotters, today's Travel-Special is about ...tadadadaaaa I.B.I.Z.A.
Guess there are quite some among you who have already been there. Then there are those going to Ibiza for tons of party and bullshit. I have to admit at Playa d'en Bossa with all its clubs there is almost zero chance not to go out and party till the sun comes up. Be prepared though, Ibiza is one fancy Island and so are its prices...
For me I can say, if I travel and stay only in the hotel I might be relaxed but I definitely do not feel as if I have actually been there. That would be that one page out of the quote "The world is a page and those who do not travel have only read one page..." So to all those party people, there is actually other special features you should not miss. A little more of those things today on the blog ...
Must-do-Number-One: Ibiza Town
This helpful man back then gave us this insider tip and would probably hate me right now for telling you since he emphasized that it was a total insider tip so I hope he won't blame me too much..
Go to Ibiza Town habor and walk all the way across the yachts and boats...all the way to the end you will find Calma, bar and restaurant with a breathtaking view on the old town of Ibiza.
|
View from Calma. Get directions here. |
If you rather had it a bit more fancy you should go next door to Calma and check out Lio where Heidi Klum goes in and out.....
So since you already are enjoying that breathtaking view how about you grab your feet and walk there. The old town of Ibiza with its castle it definitely worth a visit with its tiny little streets and shops. Be prepared though, it's quite a pain to walk up there in heeled sandals with all the cobble stone pavements...
|
View from the Castle on Ibiza Harbor. |
|
Snack Time with toasted Bread and Hummus. Yumm! |
Must-Do-Number-Two: Shopping
Ibiza has its on style without any doubt. Hence you should definitely plan at least a day for pure shopping and wallet-strain. Here are just a few stores you shouldn't miss.
|
Perfect for that little something you simply have to bring back home... Mon Amour Ibiza. |
Must-Do-Number-Three: Formentera
If you feel like taking a break from partying and shopping you should grab your sun hat, walk to Ibiza Town Harbor, go on a boat and take a day off on Formentera. There is caribbean look-alike water and beautiful beaches. Best way to go around the Island is on a bike, since it's quite cheap. You should be aware though that you get lost quite easily, at least if your from the same temper as I am ... But as they say... Lets find some beautiful place and get lost. Formentera definitely is that place!
So if you are still sitting here staring at the Ibiza Special Post, why don't you go and grab your suitcase instead...Guess there's some fancy Island waiting just for your visit.
