Sometimes I find myself wondering how much truth there is in the quote saying clothes would make people. Would people treat you differently once you walk in with some fancy brand bag here and some fancy brand shoes there? And what gives them the right to judge? Ever since people started being dressed they tried to define themselves with what they were actually wearing.
So to all gentlemen out there, would you actually be more willing to help the stylish dressed lady with her breathtaking dress stumbling through the main station with her oversize-suitcase than the not-so-very-outstanding woman?
And to all Ladies out there, would you rather let the handsome suit-wearing guy carry that über-heavy suitcase of yours or would you also let the nice but not-so-very-well-dressed guy help you?
Clothes can give every single one of us the possibility to make you appear as the person you want to be. Or as the person you really are. I love the variety different clothes can give us and the possibility of different roles we can assume simply by choosing that special piece of clothing or not.
But we should always be able to see what is behind the curtain. Because true beauty really does come from the inside, from all the values hidden behind the curtain. So nothing left for me to say but enjoy raising the curtains.
